Voice of the Instructor
On the cloud, architecture drawing is increasingly becoming much more than a representation of a system solution or a documentation of a desired final state of a solution. It's now a vital tool for discussion between all parties involved in the implementation of a business need:
- Developers need quickly understand the context and infrastructure in which their programs will run and adequately understand how to leverage AWS services while adhering to known high availability, scalability, operational, and cost reduction patterns distilled on current best practices;
- Cloud operators and engineers need an agile way to brainstorm and communicate how the platform they are building will support the business workloads of their internal clients, be them developers, security, or FinOps teams;
- The teams preparing and executing security and compliance audits or cost allocation reviews can work much more efficiently, given a good understanding of the interactions between the workloads and the infrastructure running them.
This course aims to provide a balance between giving the student a good overview of the AWS foundational services and how to properly leverage them, with greater exposure to the best practices within the AWS Well-Architected Framework — all the while focusing on increasing the student's skills for drawing architectures that are understandable but also incorporate best practices.
Join us on three days of intensive learning and communication that will enable you to create better maps for navigating the complex world of cloud architecture.
