Do you speak Usability? In this preparatory training for the «UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience Foundation – Level (short: CPUX-F) exam, you will learn the basic terms, concepts and processes of usability engineering. This enables you to work with usability professionals to develop interactive products and services such as software, apps or websites that are user-friendly and market-driven. Because no matter how many exciting features a product may have, if the user experience is disappointing or overtaxed by the application, it will not be successful on the market.
As a CPUX-F certified usability and user experience professional, you will also have an objective and internationally recognized identification that creates confidence in your professional qualifications among customers, colleagues and employers. You will also ensure that your basic knowledge of Usability & UX is up to date.
The following contents will be taught during the course as preparation for the certification exam:
- The human-centered design process
- Terms, concepts and guidelines
- Understanding and specifying the context of use
- Specifying the usage requirements
- Creation of design solutions
- Usability tests
- Inspections and user surveys
With a combination of theoretical inputs, practice-oriented exercises and stimulating group discussions, our trainers prepare you optimally for the «UXQB® Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience – Foundation Level (CPUX-F)» exam.
Software developers, development managers, analysts, project managers, product managers, designers and marketing experts, as well as anyone interested in acquiring a sound basic knowledge of the methods and procedures in Usability and User-Centered Design.
A basic understanding of the benefits of Usability and User Experience is required. We recommend the starter course to all those who are completely new to the topic or are not interested in certification:
The certification exam lasts 75 minutes and consists of 40 multiple choice questions. A minimum of 70% of the maximum score is required to pass the exam (a minimum of 28 correct answers out of 40).
You will receive an exam voucher. After the seminar you will register independently with the certification body Certible for an online examination and make an individual appointment.
Technical requirements
For the online exam with Certible you need a computer with a stable internet connection, webcam and microphone as well as one of the supported browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox). We recommend using a private device and private network for the exam if possible, especially if your company computer or network is subject to restrictions.
In the Self-Service Portal, you also have the option to run a technical test to ensure that your technology is compatible with the exam software.
