This course provides in-depth insights into Exchange Online and advanced mail security strategies. With a focus on mailbox management, advanced mailflow options and threat protection, participants will learn to effectively overcome demanding email security and Microsoft 365 management challenges.
Content:
- Recipient management (recovery of inactive mailboxes, dynamic groups)
- Mailbox settings: management of mailbox quotas and archiving
- Protection: Connection filter, protection against outgoing spam, anti-phishing methods (DMARC) and advanced delivery
- Mailflow: Handling of high volume email (HVE), authenticated SMTP (SMTP relay, MS Graph API), advanced filter options (trace) and rule management
- M365 Admin Center: Provision of apps (e.g. “Report Phishing”) and extended security features (Calendar Sharing)
- Compliance Management: Audit logs (admin/mailbox), content search for archiving and searching content
The seminar starts with Exchange Online topics, followed by in-depth content such as advanced security features. Specific modules cover the handling of High Volume Email (HVE, SMTP), advanced mailflow scenarios and threat protection. Practical exercises and case studies promote the application of knowledge in real-life scenarios, while group discussions enable an in-depth discussion of best practices.
This course is aimed at experienced IT professionals who already have in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the administration of Microsoft 365, particularly in the area of Exchange Online. Participants should have completed at least an intermediate or advanced Microsoft 365 certification.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft 365 services and DNS configuration, including Exchange Online and Microsoft Defender for Office
- Hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 infrastructures and completed Associate certification(s)
- Knowledge of automating and managing Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 services using PowerShell
