What does agile mean?

People talk about agile project management, agile organisations or even agile mindsets. All terms have one thing in common: the striving for the greatest possible adaptability in the so-called VUCA world.

VUCA stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity and thus for our time, which has become so fast-moving, uncertain, complex and ambiguous against the backdrop of digital transformation that classic approaches are not effective in either project management or leadership.

Agility is therefore increasingly becoming a necessary leadership and organisational principle to be successful in increasingly digital markets.

How do you make the leap to an agile organisation?

Companies that are agile, on the other hand, are able to adapt their organisation and their business model to new market requirements in just a short time - and are thus always a step ahead of their competitors.

Agile organisations are open to change, get rid of rigid structures and ways of thinking and develop sustainable solutions together with their customers with energy and joy.

Agility in your organisation can therefore be achieved through the right mix of agile approaches (agile methods), agile mindsets and agile leadership.

Agile working has its origins in software development, but has long been used in all sectors and areas. One of the best-known and most widespread agile methods is Scrum, but Kanban and SAFe are now also established frameworks for agile approaches.

Whether you are an agile practitioner, developer or project manager, Digicomp offers a comprehensive portfolio of courses and certifications on all these project management methodologies.

Since agile methods alone do not make an agile company, our courses Agile Leadership and Agile Mindset on the topic round off our offering for companies on their way to becoming an agile organisation.

Our field-proven trainers, who, as agile coaches, are deeply familiar with your individual challenges from experience, will support you here.
